About CelesChain

Celes Chain is a custom Layer 2 network built using the Arbitrum Orbit framework with Base serving as the settlement layer. Celes provides a dedicated high performance execution environment created for modern onchain applications that require low latency, low fees, and stable throughput.

Celes is not a Layer 3 and not part of any Superchain structure. It operates as an independent Layer 2 chain with its own execution layer while relying on Base for settlement and security. This separation allows Celes to maintain performance and gas stability regardless of congestion on other networks.

Celes is designed to support user facing onchain applications such as social platforms, real time games, AI agent systems, advanced DeFi protocols, and community driven economies. These workloads demand fast block processing, predictable performance, and consistent transaction costs.

Celes is fully EVM compatible. Developers can deploy smart contracts with standard tools including Hardhat, Foundry, and ethers.js without modifying their development workflow. The chain maintains the same development environment as Ethereum while optimizing execution for high throughput use cases.
